Lose It! | Application Redesign

Photoshop | Illustrator | XD

For this project, I was tasked to redesign the user interface of an existing application. Upon research, I chose Lose It! because of the applications potential. Lose It! has over 25 million users worldwide who use the application on the daily to track and record their food and exercise in order to work toward a healthier weight. The application continues to reach a large audience and has proven to be successful. However, there are aspects that can be improved for a more efficient design and a better user experience.

Upon research of user needs, I decided to create more visuals within the application to help increase user retention. The general user uses the Lose It! to track their daily food and exercise intake as well as their weight progression throughout the weeks that they log. In order to increase efficiency, I decided to incorporate graphs and charts in order to make all information more legible, navigable, and concise.

For the final UI screens, I wanted to keep the layout clean and legible. For the color palette, I maintained the colors of the original application, adding small details, like gradients and shadows, in order to draw attention to points of emphasis. The final UI screens balance all the necessary text a user needs along with visual graphs and charts that can help expedite and amplify their user experience when using in the application.
